This past weekend, I and fellow wondrous dreamer and writer Melinoe Morningstar were gifted free IMAX tickets to see the debut of Ghost’s concert/live album film ‘2 Big to Rig’. The Movie itself is a wonderful, nostalgic experience. Reminding me of a childhood comfort film, “Crossroads” with Britney Spears. “Nimrods” mimics that same flow of plot build up. Creating mythos worthy obstacles that build the confidence of the young performers into the successful achievement of their Labors along the Hero’s Journey of their Dreamiest Visions. Ensuring to embrace the naturally cheesy or corny moments in life with an upbeat essence throughout the entirety of the film. There was an enriching emotional element behind the story that is more Punk Rock than any superficial macho shit-head would like you to believe. As a Green Day Fan-Girly, I adored the nuggets of truth I knew were a mirrored aspect of the band’s story. It was Generationally healing to experience how the band passed the torch onto the New Age.
