2020 WELCOME TO ROCKVILLE LINE-UP ANNOUNCED

Anyone who bought their tickets early, after the Metallica announcement have to be stoked today. Danny Wimmer Presents announced the 2020 Welcome To Rockville Line-up and it is fantastic – in my eyes, the best ever.

The long-standing Jacksonville hard rock festival moves to the newly renovated Daytona International Raceway for the first time this year, and they’ll be starting off with one hell of a lineup. We already knew that Metallica is making their first ever Rockville appearance. They’ll be headlining both Friday and Sunday, with two special, distinctive sets.

The rest of the lineup had been a mystery… until today. It was worth the wait.

Joining Metallica on Friday, May 8th are Deftones, Social Distortion, Dropkick Murphys, Rancid, Royal Blood, Ghostemane, Motionless In White, Knocked Loose, Dinosaur Pile-Up and more. That’s a diverse grouping with a nice punk edge. It should be a great day.

We were wondering who we’d get headlining Day 2, and had been hoping to see Disturbed in that slot. Our wishes were granted, as they play Saturday, May 9th, with The Offspring, Staind, Lamb of God, Alter Bridge, The Pretty Reckless, Hollywood Undead, Hellyeah, Bad Wolves, Joyous Wolf and a dozen others!

As great as those two lineups are, we were blown away by Sunday. Metallica headlining with a different set, of course… and a loud supporting line-up. They’re joined by North Florida’s own Lynyrd Skynyrd, plus Godsmack, Mastodon, Gojira, Anthrax and many more. The Lynyrd Skynyrd appearance will be special, as it is their last ever North Florida concert!

That’s 53 different rock acts, over three days at a great new venue!
