615 Indie Live Announces Year Three Return and Opens Artist Submissions

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 28, 2026) — Music Venue Alliance Nashville (MVAN) and Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp today announced the 615 Indie Live festival will return on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2027, and has officially opened its artist submission portal.

Now entering its third year, organizers say 2027 will build on the festival’s momentum with more venues, more local artists, and an even greater impact for Nashville’s independent music community. Several new festival initiatives and partnerships will be announced in the coming months as 615 Indie Live continues to expand its impact on Nashville’s independent music scene. The artist lineup will be unveiled later this fall.

What began as a way to support Nashville’s independent venues and shine a spotlight on its indie music community, has quickly become one of the city’s signature celebrations of local music. Produced by MVAN in partnership with Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, the festival connects audiences with neighborhood venues and emerging artists while generating critical support for the independent music ecosystem during a traditionally slow time of year.

“Independent venues are where tomorrow’s artists get their start, and they’re a big reason a trip to Music City feels so authentic,” said Deana Ivey, president and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. “We’re proud to continue supporting 615 Indie Live because it celebrates our local artists and independent venues while helping both visitors and locals discover the music experiences that make Nashville unlike anywhere else.”

Unlike most music festivals, all proceeds from 615 Indie Live directly benefit Music Venue Alliance Nashville, helping fund advocacy, education, emergency relief, and initiatives that protect, promote and strengthen Nashville’s independent venues.

“We’re thrilled to bring back 615 Indie Live for a third year, and are always looking for ways to make it even more valuable to Nashville’s independent music community,” said Chris Cobb, Co-Producer of 615 Indie Live and Director of Music Venue Alliance Nashville. “In 2027, that means continuing to help audiences discover incredible local artists and independent venues, while expanding the partnerships that make the festival stronger and its impact even greater. At the end of the day, every ticket sold helps us invest back into the community that makes Music City special.”

Artists interested in performing at the 2027 festival can now submit through the festival’s online application portal, powered by Tunehatch. Early bird tickets are also available for a limited time at $15 all in, the lowest ticket price that will be offered for the festival.

The full artist lineup, participating venues and additional festival experiences will be announced this fall.
