Rock Oracle Goes Nashville Flea Market – Debut Show

Hello fellow wanderers and travelers! Stacy here to gab a bit about a VERY exciting, special event we’ve been hard-at-work planning the last couple months here in Nashville, TN! In partnership with the city’s renowned and historic Nashville Fairgrounds, we are hosting a Concert Series at the monthly Flea Market! Rock Oracle Goes Flea Market! How better to Bring People Together Through Music than by building something within your local community?? For Locals, By Locals!

The story with the Flea Market starts with a passionate woman finding her way in a new city. You know her and love her: Melinoe! Melinoe worked the Flea Market crowd for over a year with her starburst personality, magickal candles, and anthologies of heartfelt, thought-provoking poetry and personalized short stories/books written with love for those lucky enough to have crossed paths with her. She fell in love with the Flea and all its unique vendors – especially the ones who’ve been showing up consistently for several years. Eventually, the thought dawned on her, “Why is the local music scene not showcased here?!” Later, she met The Godfather of Rock Oracle, Jason, and the inspired idea began forming … and now, here we are! A little more than a week from our debut show, and we are freakin’ stoked!  (Thank you, Melinoe, for being a constant expander and inspirator for everyone around you <3)

If you don’t live in Music City with us – we’re terribly sorry you won’t be able to join in the festivities and jams! If you DO live here, please be sure to come say hi next weekend, October 23rd – 25th, to check out and support some of your local Music City Musicians – performing 11 AM – 4 PM (CT) the 24th and 25th. We’ve got an amazing lineup brought to you by our amazing stage presenter Eclectric Records! Also, did I mention: This is a FREE show! 

The lineup of local talent is as follows:

Saturday, October 24th:
11:00 – 11:45 Mustang Anna
12:15 – 1:00 Calinoda
1:30 – 2:15 Mason McClintock
2:45 – 3:30 Brother Dusty

Sunday, October 25th:
11:00 – 11:45 McKayla Prew
12:15 – 1:00 Jay Rin
1:30 – 2:15 Ariel Jade (Eclectric Records founder herself!)
2:45 – 3:30 1:1Soul 

We don’t want to give too much away about these artists so there’s plenty of surprise and eardrum goodies in store for you, but I will say this: These singers/songwriters/badass musicians are seriously talented! I’m talkin’ powerhouse vocals, genuine heart and soul, and a mix of several different genres (Indie, Country, Americana, Progressive Rock, etc.!) that will no doubt create a fun, enchanting vibe at the Flea. And no I’m not just saying all this because we booked them to play LOL

Each artist/band will have the opportunity to host a booth during Flea Market hours, as well, to chat with the lovely community members of Nashville – sell merch, art – hand out flyers for future shows – whatever they’re called to share!

Rock Oracle will also have a booth set up (of course!) that will boast its own fun collection of things to peruse and purchase: Melinoe’s magick candles, handpicked records from The Godfather’s own collection (which is essentially enough to start up a record store), a cozy “Listening Corner” where anyone can take a seat and listen to a vinyl or CD from our performing artists or from Rock Oracle’s own randomized collection – as well as other music-related items and antiques/oddities presented by me and my husband! The booths will be a great way for us all to connect together and show support 🙂

We will be at the Flea all weekend (Fri-Sun) and will be excited to chat with you!

Our mission for this event isn’t only about supporting performing musicians. We want to invite ALL artists to come join! Whatever your medium of art, we want you to feel welcome – and most importantly empowered – to be part of what we’re building with/for the community – a landmark event for the incredible artists and society of Nashville! Any- and every- one is welcome to the Flea Market, especially through Rock Oracle <3

This city is packed full of talent – across several different modes of expression – that may never get the deserved exposure because of the social media slurry world we live in these days. Our goal for this partnership with The Fairgrounds is to shine a light on all our phenomenal local artists – especially the ones that live “below” the algorithms (because, let’s be real: social media sucks) – the artists that are oozing passion and authenticity – that are just as passionate about this amazing community we have here in Nashville. Music can bring people together in more ways than just live shows! 

Perhaps the biggest message we are looking to spread with hosting through the Flea Market is: In order to live our dreams, we have to come together! We’ve been living too long in a separatist, competitive market … We’ve been taught to believe we need to keep our talent, ideas, inspiration, etc. to ourselves (cue Gollum – “It’s MINE! PRECIOUS!”), lest someone “steal” from or copy us. Look, I won’t say there aren’t people out there who do that, but those people aren’t the ones who make up the community we’re looking to revive.

This city is full of dreamers, and dreams were never meant to be secret or kept to ourselves. You never know the doors that might open from sharing your dreams, ideas, and passions – the people you might meet, the inspirational conversations you might have … You never know what can happen unless you take a leap!

We aim for this to be a consistent event and are happy to say The Fairgrounds is on board, as well! We have this month as our debut show, our second in Jan 2027 (an indoor show thank god LOL), then shows each month from March – Nov 2027. Each month will showcase the incredible emerging talent in/around Nashville with rockin’, soulful performances and also booths where you can chat with us, buy merch from the artists, and you’ll also have the ENTIRE Flea Market to explore! Remember – it won’t just be about music. There will be numerous compelling, unique vendors to meet and treasures to discover!

(Only reason me and my kitties aren’t photo-featured is because I didn’t get my hands on any flyers before the article was scheduled to be published LOL)

But wait – there’s more! We are also in discussion with music venues, food trucks, breweries, and other awesome vendors around town to continue building on our Locals for Locals scene. Not to play on the whole me-being-a-native-Tennessean thing, but YALL – it’s gonna be a great time!

Right now, Rock Oracle calls Nashville home, and we’re on a mission to bring the community together through music here – but who knows where we will expand to eventually. Could it be your town?
