Elvis Presley’s Birthday Bash in Nash

Elvis’ 91st trip around the sun would have been this year and his “Birthday Bash” was happening Friday, January 9th.  It was featuring Elvis tribute man Dennis Jalefrom Austria on Lead Vocals with The TCB (Taking Care of Business) Band Members & guests Glen D. Hardin, Terry Blackwood, Larry Strickland, Boh Carter, Paul Leim, Donna & Craig Morris, Larry Hall, Mike Brignardello, Kerry Marx, The Holladay Sisters , Bobby Ogdin with Special Guests Deborah Allen, Thomas Gabriel (Johnny Cash’s grandson) and was hosted by Donna Presley, who is Elvis’ first cousin.  I wasn’t going to miss it.  This would be the closest to The King that I would ever get.

Dann Huff & Friends: A Special Night in Music

3rd & Lindsley, Nashville, hosted an event that was 35 years in the making. It was the triumphant return of guitar hero Dann Huff, under the lights, for the first time in a long time. Maybe youhave never heard of Huff, but you have certainly heard him play. He deserves a mention alongside any legendary axe wielder that you can speak into existence. Google his name and you will find him listed as a player with hundreds of famous musicians and on just as many hit records. I’ll give you two names: Michael Jackson and Taylor Swift.

Parker Barrow Doesn’t Rob Their Audience

Parker Barrow.  Parker Barrow.  Parker Barrow! I want to say it as many times as I can so that you will remember the name of this band. After seeing them perform live at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville, I will never forget.  I have to say thank you to Gregg Bell, Parker Barrow’s manager, for reaching out to me and inviting me to the show.  I have been getting a lot of submissions through Rock Oracle to go out and see bands or listen to a new single and most the time I listen or find them online and I pass for one reason or another.  When I looked up this bluesy-southern rock band I found myself going down the rabbit hole to watch and listen to as much as I could – and then I saw them live – and I am a fan for life!
