Moon Mother Drops Sophomore Record with “Meadowlands”

The record is a gorgeous jaunt through a woodland of feverish sentiment.  There is some absolve from hurt that happens with the recognition of trauma.  The message is quite clear that lessons can be learned, and that growth is possible if you choose to accept that things can get better.  “Meadowlands is without a doubt the most powerful thing we have ever created. It is a world for itself and we have undergone a kind of inner revolution in the making of this record. A death and a rebirth, I think it can be felt throughout the journey of listening to this album. Meadowlands – the place outside, the place within.” says Mehner.

New Singles From Red Guitar Music Out Now

There are a couple of new singles out now from Red Guitar Music that are certainly worth checking out. RGM is a full-service record label located in Nashville that was founded by guitar player and Catchfire band member Travis Fairley.  By “full-service” Fairley includes A&R, booking, publicity, recording, mixing and producing.  RGM was created by an artist, for artistsand is a niche label that caters to those young up and coming artists looking to get a foothold in Music City.  Travis himself has been able to navigate this landscape quickly, after graduating with a music degree from Belmont University.  He is a guitar player, a performer and an engineer who has worked with musicians of country, rock, Americana, folk, grunge, and classical backgrounds.  His latest artists are Carl Pariso and The Tower Brothers.

Arts Fishing Club Drops Lines in Blue Room Waters 

Their sound is hard to root down and that’s why I am excited about their future.  You can say they are this or that, but their ability to play just about anything is evident in their music.  At the core, Arts Fishing Club is branded as an indie-folk rock band, but I am not sure that’s the best descriptor of what they are about, although I am not sure how I would list them if I had to.  The music is fun.  The band plays tight.  It’s fast when it needs to be but slows down with all the right accents tapping directly into all the listeners emotions. They keep it light between songs too, letting the audience know just how much fun they are having.  On this Thursday, in the dimly lit architectural aqua-bowl of a room, our guiding light was AFC.
