A Backstory From Melinoe:
As I sit to create this article, I contemplate exactly where to begin with this story. Which message do I ultimately seek to give? Why was it Vital for me to collaborate with Shayan, Frontman of TRIVAX? Often, lost in my never-ending search for meaning within my intuitive endeavors. I suppose I shall summarize a bit of the beginning. Starting with the Full Circle, Saturn Return Closing, personal Cycle, closure this has all spiritually manifested itself to be. I began my Anti-Christian journey, seedlings planted since childhood, and the mistrust within the Church I was raised to be devoted and faithful. The regime of my cultural lens and the nurture I received. The undertone to the Great American Nation.
I discovered my Own Path and dynamic to the Spiritual Realm. I have shared this across various mediums of self-expression. A right I invoke in Abundance. My Right to Magick. My Right to God. My Right to take a bite of the Apple and Witness Good & Evil for myself. To Discern Life for myself. Without Human Law. Without Fear of Condemnation. I denied Hell in order to Extinguish denying myself a life of Joy. Of Womanly pleasure. To Embrace the Experiment of what it would be like to Love Thyself. To Fully Blossom into my Dreamiest, Inspired Action. What if my Dreams were not Only Dreams? What if I Lived Life, freely.
These questions have haunted me since I was a young girl. I pondered the ethics of morals, values, and limitations placed on human experience. Was the only way to Spread the Word of God, to Denounce all the frilly, colorful, girly expressions that allow Women to Thrive? To be a Woman, is to be a Vile Temptress. I must suppress all that makes me, as I am. Would the Masculine Sin Mirror the same? All because He followed in the Footsteps of his Female Counterpart? The Mistake of Trusting the Oracle? The Goddess? Mother Nature? The Anger that boiled deep inside of the Masquerade Ball I hosted daily, chose Metal Music to release the Rage within. The Rage I, as a Woman, have been Forbidden to Host. A Disease within Femininity I am Coerced to Ignore. I could rant on my Philosophies and Ideals for ages. I have various outlets for doing so. The Alchemy of my Art. The Power of Symbolism within Creation. The Depth of the Psychology of the Human Being. All Nurtured by a Full Spectrum of Artists. However, my Truth and My Heart will Always have to give the Largest Bouquet of Flowers to the Metal Genre, regardless of the sub-genre category.
Ironically enough, I am not the Metal Elitist some have experienced me to be. I did, however, marry one of the Highest Ranking Elitists known to Mankind. That fact bridges us back to the focus of this Epic Tale. Through my Marriage, I have expanded my Palate within the Sensualities of Life I was Denied in my earlier years. Of course, this was due to inaccessibility raised Ignorance, not Prejudice. I will admitonly knowing a surface level of musicians and bands, particularly prior to my marriage. Not quite allowed to dive into the depths of the Underground. My Bloodline did their damnedest to chain me away. Yet I could not be Hammered Down. Chad, my beloved Husband, shares his Passion for Music with me Daily. It is one of my Favorite bonding aspects of our Union. A fellow passion of mine, in my own unique way.
I have discovered that Chad and I engage with music quite differently. I tend to love the enhanced or altered perspective. Falling in Love with his Ear for detail from the Muses. So, when he recommends a band to me, I take the request Ardently. With that, I connect back to TRIVAX. An Iranian Black Metal Band my Dearest Husband presented to me. I cannot tell you the exact date. It was more of a slow, Red Carpet roll out. From time to time, TRIVAX would be playing during one of our car rides. Other times, Chad would send me a direct link to Iblis Manifestations, Shayan’s (Front Man of TRIVAX) podcast. Sprinkled within our Casual, Intimate conversations and moments. Over time a social media connection grew. Artists Supporting Artists. MetalHeads Supporting MetalHeads. Souls Supporting Souls. Shayan is proudly displayed upon my Wyrd Community page. I have enjoyed his presence and the work he has put forth. Radical use of Free Will my Brother. His story and message are Miraculously Inspirational and vital Medicine for Humanity. He deserves a sense of spotlight and attention for the Shadows he has revealed, and the Bravery he has executed. Giving “Astrology is Real” a Beautiful Winning Point with an apparent connection to his Scorpio Sun! Shayan and TRIVAX are a Complex experience that requires a sense of Expansion from the audience. Especially when already Demonized with a Genre title such as Death/Black Metal. With that, I encourage folks to remain connected to the human within these experiences.
The reasonings behind the formulation of opinions and belief systems. Perhaps Shayan’s story, and the Gnosis Invoked within TRIVAX, may threaten your sense of security within reality. Perhaps you will witness mistrust within the government and religious regimes. You are entitled to process as you wish. However, you will Never be able to hide from the Truth. To be delicate of a sensitive time within our global society and civilization, I want to remind everyone that Genocide is not okay. Regardless of who is doing it. However, as we dive into these misfortunate realities of World, may we remember that it is War, it is Revenge and it is Oppression of the Shadow that recycles these apocalyptic events. Oppression of the Shadow through psychological and spiritual warfare that is conducted from our governments and religious institutions. To Rebel and “Rage Against the Machine” is to choose Love. Love for the Self. The Self Love required to Embody an Authentic Soul, Grounded in Flesh. Despite my Anti-Christian Memorandum, and this Anti-Islamic Memorandum, I stand firm in a belief of Freedom.
Freedom to Be and Believe, whichever it is you must. My Intention is to dismantle the Religious Implications that Poison our Judicial System and Foundations of Our Human Experience. I intend to connect the World to an Ally across the Pond. To Bridge the Web of Wyrd on a Collective Frequency. To join hands with Fellow Freedom Fighters to Liberate the Minds and Spirits of a Species enslaved. Of a species who has forgotten Love, who has forgotten the Magick that it is to be Alive. To welcome in a single breath. I plead to Harmonize Humanity, before we Victimize ourselves into Extinction. Before Mother Nature Eradicates us from her Womb. Shayan and TRIVAX’s Story tells a Tale that Haunts us all under these regimes. As we Fight Christian Nationalism in America (and various other countries), We are also Fighting Islamic Nationalism and Judaic Nationalism. The belief is not in Genocide of the Abrahamic Religions (Cults) and Theology. I will forever vow the Right to Existence within the Laws of Humanity. I argue the structure of consent. I raise concern with the indoctrination of children and the psychological damage implemented on those abused such manipulative tactics. It would be one thing for an adult to build their relationship with God/Spirit/The Universe/The Divine/The Void (ETC ETC ETC!) If one consents to living the lifestyle for themselves, it is not my place to Control the Path you choose to journey for yourself. It is an entirely different subject matter to inflict your personal theocracy onto others.
Regardless of the supposed following you have. There must be a social agreement to Transparency and Truth. The Deception, Corruption and Blatant Lies of every Deadly Sin must be Detoxed from the Foundations of our Community/Civilization driven services, systems and structures. Government should only exist as a funnel system to channel humanitarian services for us all to succeed as a healthy ecosystem. All else is a waste of resources. All else is the mindset of a “slave owner.” Here we hit my full circle moment. As I have connected to Shayan and his art, I have reconnected with a part of myself. I have been nurtured into embracing my own rebellion, my own path, my own voice. I have found a reliable, yet anecdotal source that gave a sense of trust. An authentic soul who is simply on his own Hero’s Journey. Despite all of our motivations behind what it is we do, at the core of it, there is something profoundly spiritual about the music, the collaboration and the movement all together. This is not another “Satanic Panic.” This is a revolution against the enmeshment of Church and State. I have suffered various experiences along my path in which my message was NOT well received. Not even slightly. I have received death threats for my philosophies, theories, thoughts, ideas, ideals, questions and personal gnosis. I wrote an essay in response to one of the “Cancel Culture” attacks. Defending my stance. Not quite apologizing, but acknowledging the offensive tone in which I spoke to the public, taking accountabilitywhere I could have spoken “better” during a variety of explanations. I defended my rage. I explained the essence and reasoning behind my perspective. I died upon the hill that was my message. My reputation died at the hands of my voice.
The ultimate message was a Monologue of the Ghost of the Human Soul. The cries of Mother Nature as she mourns the Death of her Children, of the Life she has Granted the World. I voiced a message and wisdom within the Value of Life. How one could not compare suffering. A Wisdom in the Power within Embracing Life to Exist without Control. Life is shining in the Glory of Freedom. Humanity dances within harmony. I am most certainly a dreamer. Simply a woman who “lives in a bubble.” I find my message of Love finds home in the aggressive and Hateful messages within Metal Music and the varied artistic expression of the Left Hand Path (LHP). With that being said, connecting to fellow artists and Freedom Fighters within this genre, has been motivating to hold my stance. To be as immovable within my Legacy as Earth. To not crumble entirely at the compulsion of an EarthQuake. I found Power through Music, Art and Artists during this fairly horrific time in my life. To go to War against every Party you could imagine, is tiresome.
Shayan has mentioned his feelings of homelessness. I found interrelation within our journeys. A soul driven, spiritual path, that is difficult to explain, let alone expect anyone to be able to digest in one sitting, at one time. As I recovered and battled the subconscious programmings and limitations of my Fear, of my Trauma and All the Above, I was guided by the Light of Community. The Knowing that I was in fact, NOT alone. There were people who related to me. They may be across the country or the globe, but they do exist. We may not perfectly align in the entirety of our theologies, philosophies and politics, yet, we come together to focus on what is important. We do not forget the humanity within what it is we all desire to experience. At the end of the day, despite all our differences, we all simply wish to be ourselves. We desire a life of Freedom to make our own choices. And, as long as those choices don’t irreparably harm another being, it should be legalized, tolerate and accepted. To divide, to other, to control and to hate? That is to generate a generational cycle, a philosophy of war.
The Abrahamic Religions, whether Christianity, Judaism or Islam, hide behind their illusion of Love and Fuel their Herd Mentality to Conquer. Especially when embedded within Governmental Power. How do you dismantle such toxic authorities? You could rebel in opposition of everything they stand for. Invoke Chaos and “Worship the Devil.” Or you can Stay True to Yourself and Walk a Path of Truth and Integrity. All that should matter within the foundation of complex human matters such as political sciences. Art and Music, the Creative Realms of Human Realities are key components in reminding the Corrupt Authorities that they have no power over us. That they can Exile us from our Tribes, but we Shall Always remain in Sovereignty, until Death. Does this mean that violence is necessary? Does this mean that there is justification for Genocide and the Bombings of Innocent Civilians? That is a personal question one must decipher within themselves. A team you must choose. With Great Power, comes Great Responsibility. At which point of Oppression is a Violent Revolution necessary? When will the Weak Men end the cycle of Manipulative Hierarchy? Shayan contemplates such raw human emotions when faced at the heart of these realities.
The Developed West and Free Cultural World often forgets the level of damage done to those under this level of enslavement and/or imprisonment of dehumanization. A Human Sin that has only Evolved, instead of Being Demolished. And I would argue, until we reconnect with the Circle of Life and the Respect of Death, that Sin will never be Healed. To embody the Mentality of an Enslaver, is to foolishly sacrifice your Soul to the Fervent Ammit. I digress. The West tip toes along the egg shells of frivolous appeasement and bravado praise. Often trusting the propaganda spoon fed to them on a silver platter of Virtue Signaling. Signaling to their version of Tribal Traits. Afraid the Police State will condemn them to the fiery pits of Hell for not fitting into the perfectly manufactured box of self interest story plots. Yelling Poser or preaching some spieled Framework of Cultural Appropriation to those who does not bend their knee to limitation. (Exploitation of Culture is the real villain. Allowing the freedom of Religion, is embracing the diversity of culture, ethnicity and proximity.) A social psyops that is not a conspiracy theory. A glaring truth that the entire planet is afraid to awaken towards. We have been horrifically misled. For days, months, years, centuries and ages. We must come together and create our World Peace. Not pay politicians to promise it to us. We cannot surrender our power to the delusional leaders who forget that they work for us!
TRIVAX Interview with Frontman Shayan:
“I provide all this backstory to paint an undeniable picture of who I am, and who it is I support. As well, to express the scope of power within the Messengers I pay forward and pass along to as many beings as I possibly can.” I am not sure to the extent in which Shayan and I agree. Perhaps there could be a Come Drink the Moon Juice and Iblis Manifestations Podcast Cross-Over. Perhaps the story tells itself through this article and our relativity within our choices of self expression. Shayan and TRIVAX touches deeply along the Heart Strings of my Aquarius Stellium in the 8th House. Regardless of the minute details and nuances within our personal legacies, I am honored to share Shayan and TRIVAX with you All. As I summarized myself above, I summarized the impact this connection has had upon me. Shayan recalls Metallica being one of his monumental bands. I could list hundreds of amazing, talented creatives that have inspired me. May we all continue to heal the world and rebel one creative act at time. May we refuse to live in a land where we are not granted the Freedom of Self Expression. Free Speech and the Freedom of Self Expression are the focal points of TRIVAX and the driving Adversaries that guided Shayan down his path of Iranian Revolution. The band originally started in the Spring of 2009 in Tehran, Iran. However, Shayan currently resides in the UK. Taking on the Liberation of a Spiritual Refuge. The first TRIVAX show was in 2011. This performance was technically an illegal show at the Kamalolmolk High School in Tehran, which ended abruptly due to the amphitheater being set on fire by the students. Initially, when Shayan saw the smoke, he assumed that it was the police breaking in to arrest the band.
These musical and self-expression restrictions exist due to severe religious oppression of the Islamic Faith. Which are deeply intertwined with the country’s laws. A righteous path of the Islamic Faith, to convert the entire world to Islam. Similar to that of the Christian path in the Western World, particularly quite aggressively in the United States of America. These restrictions were not only about Metal and seemingly “Satanic” expressions of music. These laws also included Hip Hop music, as well, any any music with traces of women singing. (Shayan reports Iranian stories of Female Violence and Torture in various scenes of his podcast. These correlate to the Islamic Regime and the Laws of the Islamic Republic. The arguments of the Hijab and women empowerment are equally discussed at times. This is a deeply layered movement and discussion. The Band ultimately broke up in a series of unfortunate events. Amongst the incidents which inspired the breakup of the band, there was a fight that occurred between bandmates. The brutal fight almost cost a member his life.
There was also a lot of chaos within the band itself, the band being young teenage males, you could only imagine. Shayan technically broke up the band a few months before moving out to live in the UK. He wasn’t completely set or certain that he was going to move out of the country yet, although that happened shortly after. Finalizing the initial break up of the band. Shayan’s (more or less) sole reason behind leaving the country was the fact that playing metal music has been banned and completely forbidden in Iran. In fact it is still illegal today, although the restrictions were considerably harsher in the past. Who is to know what the future will bring with the Revolution and the War that surrounds us.
The main attribute that stands out about TRIVAX would be the fact that they are amongst a handful of bands who have performed both inside and outside of Iran. Even amongst the scarce and rare few, who are actually signed to labels. TRIVAX also tours and performs concerts internationally as regularly as possible. They have an exceptionally delicate and unique position in the music scene in general. A true inspiration for any artist who was told they would starve, nor any musician who was told they would never make it. With the above context, they are amongst the extremely few internationally performing Metal bands, with an Anti-Islamic message in both lyrics and interviews. Christianity, Anti- Christianity and “Devil Worship” (I say nauseatingly loosely) can be deemed the core spiritual philosophy/theology or message within the Metal Genre. Paving an avenue for Islam? Revolutionary. Evolutionary. I cannot use enough words to describe the power and the potential of such a cause. There has to be a hand in hand connection to dismantling the oppression of the (Patriarchal System) Abrahamic religions within the State. Without being called Anti-Semitic, Racist, or any other Slur. It is not one branch of theology. It is the loyalty to either of the three branches and any other mitochondrial DNA of such theology/philosophy.
To fight against religious corruption and infiltration of Liberty is a noble cause. And one that must be done delicately. The demonization of humanity is what will lead to genocide, mass destruction, nuclear war and the demise of the Human Species. This is a fact. Which is why Shayan, Myself and Rock Oracle would wholeheartedly (to reiterate) encourage you to do your own research and due diligence on this part. (As with any other bits of information that is presented to you in this article or any other form of media! Shayan has exposed various Mainstream News Media Outlets for sharing misinformation on Iran and the Iranian Revolution. Seek sources that challenge your stance and strengthen your psyche.) As you will see ritualistically repetitive within this article, TRIVAX has a dutiful message to share with the audience. Not only one of Questioning Authority and the Religion of your Birth, but One of Freedom and Liberation through embracing Discipline, Strength, and Independence As well as, acknowledging and integrating the shadow self in the Jungian archetype.
To deny TRIVAX intellectual depth through artistic mediums, would be truly diabolical. Their message very much reflects the journey of the band itself. A journey into the unknown and dangerous, for a righteous cause, in Spite of Fear or any Threat. A process of overcoming. The inevitable Nature of Life, Death & Rebirth. By extension, this also makes TRIVAX very much an Anti-Theocratic band by such nature. Their latest album “The Great Satan” is a calling out of the hypocrisy of the Islamic Republic, with Ayatollah Khomeini, as the target of the cover art itself. He was always notorious for referring to the West as the Great Satan of the World,. Given the fact that much of the damage and harm inflicted upon Iran is by his hand, and the thousands, potentially millions, of deaths in which he is responsible for, the band felt appropriate to give the title back to him. “The Great Satan” (2025) by TRIVAX is a 43-minute, nine-track black metal album. Crafted with Middle Eastern musical influences and a more polished, “crystal clear” production than you tend to hear in most Death/Black Metal. The album, released on Osmose Productions, serving as a direct, politically charged critique of the Iranian Revolution. The band blends “second-wave black metal with death metal, thrash, and atmospheric, orchestral elements.” Their sound is unlike the raw, “kvlt” production typical of black metal.
”The Great Satan” utilizes a sharp, crisp, and vigorous production by Samuel Turbit at Ritual Sound. Allowing for detailed instrumentation, including prominent bass lines by Sully and nuanced drumming. The music is described as “jagged” and “deliberate,” featuring high-speed blackened aggression alongside moments of intense atmosphere and emotive melodic interludes. It moves away from purist Black Metal and toward a more refined, complex blackened death metal sound compared to their previous work, Eloah Burns Out. The Cultural Elements incorporated are the traditional instruments like the oud and baglama, particularly in the intro track “Atash,” alongside Persian Percussion. Layering Vocals featuring harsh, commanding black metal rasps. Occasionally transitioning or incorporating operatic, ethereal female vocals (by Vickie Harley) and spoken-word samples in Farsi.
There is a unique cultural expression as a rebellious group in the modern era. A Founding Father to the Soundtrack of the Revolution. Much of the album is focused on a sense of revolt and breaking of chains. Their song “Operation Ramadan,” has a deep story and historical content that I will summarize through a passage of explanation sent to me from Shayan himself. (Please feel free to verify this information for yourselves.) “Shortly after the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, tensions between Ayatollah Khomeini and Saddam Hussein escalated. In 1980, Iraq invaded Iran, but by mid-1982, Iranian forces had expelled Iraqi troops. Rather than seeking peace, Iran pushed further into Iraq, aiming to overthrow Saddam, and spreading the Islamic Shiite belief across the Middle-East. Blinded by greed, power, and victory, Iran launched a large-scale invasion near Basra on 13 July 1982, featuring human wave attacks in the largest land battle since World War II. The attack was launched with the code “Ya Saheb az-Zaman.”
The invasion was a disaster, causing massive casualties, including young men and children sent to clear minefields. Iraqi generals reportedly said: “No weapons, no plans… they came to die.” Scholar Rob Johnson described it as a “criminal failure of leadership and strategy.” This doomed mission and tragedy unfolded under the name “Operation Ramadan” Feel into the story through song. As I interviewed Shayan, I asked him if there are any other works that he felt would be beneficial to mention to guide fellow fans and the audience of this article. Whether for philosophical, political, spiritual or musical reasonings? He replied, “In the context of TRIVAX, the lyrics on Eloah Burns Out and The Great Satan are quite strong and palpable.” Shayan would also recommend checking his project Lavizan Jangal, featuring his friend of 17 years, L.A., who still lives in Tehran, Iran and conducts the vocals and lyrics for the band. Shayan reported that Lavizan Jangal is “ironically, quite a notorious band in Iran, despite being extremely underground.” Although Shayan has kept his duties mostly anonymous until recently. Roughly within the past year, or so. There is a solid Iranian Black Metal scene shaping up. Purely based on the sound of the band, Lavizan Jangal. Absolutely empowering to note. Not that Black Metal or any Metal Head wants their scene to be mainstreamed, the importance of numbers in a revolution is undeniable. As well, to weaponize music (or a genre of music) against a corrupt government? Now that is Metal as FUCK! Shayan, myself (Melinoe) and Rock Oracle equally encourage you all to dive into any episode of Iblis Manifestations. Particularly ones featuring Akhlys, Acherontas, Fides Inversa and Blood Incantation. Which should offer quality insight into Shayan’s personal philosophy that structures his Art. There are also a number of Solo Episodes which cover anything from Fitness, Philosophy to the Paranormal and Spiritual Realm. I personally, highly suggest, viewing their video for “Azrael.” A powerful song and music video with prominent and just outstanding symbolism.
Shayan has a phenomenal story and is a remarkable man, with a Magickal Band and an Ancestral and/or Soul Purpose he has Answered with a Vengeance. I firmly believe the world can gain perspective from his Experiences, his Voice and his Music. I hope this article furthers his, and TRIVAX’s, Mission to Free the Iranian people. As well as Inspire a World of Free Thinkers and Free Willers. May we Always Stand Up to the Adversary, in Life and in Death. May we be Courageous in the Face of Evil.
