Reflections of the Flea: Oct 2026 – Our Debut Concert & Market!
Warm greetings and mighty blessings to you all! Stacy here to share some Reflections from this past weekend’s spectacular, incredible, inspiring event: Our debut concert at The Nashville Flea Market – Rock Oracle Goes Nashville Flea Market!

To say the weekend was a huge success would honestly be an understatement.
Load-in and setup went great, sound check was smooth (Shout out to TJ for all the expertise and help!), our performing artists were AMAZING, and we found ourselves in pretty much non-stop conversation with music lovers, market patrons, and other artists – musing about the Nashville music scene and local community. Everyone seemed to be on the same page – that For Locals By Locals is the way to go! (We also had a puppy party essentially every day! Yes, you’re interpreting that correctly. The Nashville Flea Market is dog-friendly!)

We truly had such an awesome time. Our mission – Bringing People Together Through Music – came into full swing, and we couldn’t stop beaming about it. (Still can’t!)

Our performing artists f’ing smashed it, too. Out of the park! Absolute home runs! (There, Jason … I incorporated baseball LOL)
All played a mix of covers and originals (but mostly originals – further highlighting their extreme talent) and generated a truly captivating weekend for us all. (As a reminder: The Flea Market happens on the fourth weekend of each month – Fri-Sun – with musicians performing Saturday and Sunday, 11 AM-4 PM).
Our Saturday performers were:
- Mustang Anna
- She whose presence felt like a free, wise spirit … kicked off Saturday’s performances with a truly enchanting set. Listening to her music felt like sitting on the porch on a chilly morning with a warm cup of coffee watching the sun come up. One of the best feelings, in my opinion! Her songs and performance were full of emotion – the stories and intention behind each song being so relatable and moving – particularly the one about her mom <3 Mustang Anna’s music is intentional, personal, and vulnerable. Her performance seemed more like a gift to us all, and we are so grateful she came to share that with us at the Flea. Check out her vibe and music more on Instagram (linked above) and TikTok!

- Calinoda
- The band was down a guitarist (damn you, flu bug!), but Jake and Elliegh still showed up and delivered a fantastic performance. Both have some of the most angelic voices I’ve ever heard, and they harmonized together so beautifully. Their talent was effortless – and there’s something really magical about performers who meld together so naturally, which is exactly how it was with these two! Between the keys, acoustic guitar, and striking vocals/harmonies that rang out into the courtyard like soft, alluring wind chimes, Calinoda captivated us all at the Flea – and left us desiring more!

- Mason McClintock
- He didn’t originally want to accept my comparison of his vocals to those of Beyonce, but it’s true! Mason’s performance took the Flea over like a fierce, revitalizing breeze that (welcomingly) knocked us off our feet. I mean … those trills! My god! Charm and talent radiate from Mason so naturally – and on top of that? He’s warm, inviting, and gives off an infectious, expansive energy that leaves you with a big smile. My jaw actually hurt by the time he was done with his set because I couldn’t stop smiling to myself the whole time! Mason is truly a talent-force to be reckoned with, but certainly not in the ‘leave you in the dust’ kind of way. He’ll take you along with him with loving intention. Fabulous energy – unreal talent – genuinely good-hearted human … What more could we ask for?!

- Jay Rin
- She wasn’t originally scheduled to play on Saturday, but one of the other performers was unable to make it, and she offered to step in. She didn’t have her guitar (understandably – because she wasn’t expected to play!), but my husband had brought a Filipino Telecaster to the market to sell, and without hesitation, Jay tuned that baby and played a full set. You saved the day, Jay! Thank you so much, again!
- Jay’s style is one that’s like a melting pot of a few different genres and eras of music that are highly beloved and recognizable, but her sound itself isn’t easily identifiable – in a good way! It’s unique but timeless – and that, mixed with her naturally raspy, powerful vocals, results in a bewitching performance that stopped Flea-goers in their tracks. Her guitar skills are another level, as well. She played ALL originals, including her recently released new song ‘God It’s Me Again’ – the songwriting being top-notch, as well. Her music was groovy as hell, also – which is obviously a big plus!

Our Sunday musicians were just as lovely and multi-talented:
- McKayla Prew
- Dressed in mostly pink (her signature color!), McKayla got on stage and OWNED it. Her bubbly personality got the crowd singing back to her, hands clapping, toes tapping – it was such an enjoyable set for everyone at the Flea! McKayla has a classic country kind of vibe, which you can never go wrong with, but also belts out these long, impressive notes that make you double back because “Surely that girl’s about to pass out!” (But she didn’t, of course! LOL) Some people have to work on their vocals (which is completely okay, of course!), while some are just born with it … and McKayla seems like she was just born with the gift of serenade and powerful vocal cords. (Although it wouldn’t surprise me if she takes part in some kind of vocal practice because her commitment to the art of music is honestly next level, as well.) Some would attribute her vivaciousness and bright-light-spirit to her being in her early 20s, but I’d argue that’s just who McKayla is. Her genuinity shines through in her music and on-stage presence – one thousand percent!

- Jay Rin
- This was Jay’s originally scheduled day, and she did the damn thing – again! Two days in a row! (What a badass!) For this performance, she had her partner and guitarist, Evan, with her – who is equally as amazingly talented, I must say! He absolutely shredded on guitar, and it made Jay’s already wonderful music even better. Jay’s individual talent, plus Evan’s, then add some bewitching harmonies? *chef’s kiss* Their performance was electric, dynamic, surprising (in the best way), and The Flea goers were left absolutely enthralled.

- Ariel Jade
- The Music City Mogul herself! Founder of Electric Records – who provided all of the amazing artists for our Debut Concert – and she’s an awesome artist herself? Folks … sometimes it’s just not fair meeting someone like Ariel LOL Multi-talented, awesome energy, committed to the craft, involved in music in every possible way … Ariel reminds me of Miley Cyrus in a way – just an all-around powerhouse! For me, her performance highlighted two main talents: her mighty, potent vocals and her thoughtful, creative songwriting. You can tell from watching her perform that music and being on stage are both deeply rooted in her. She’s someone who doesn’t have to try to be authentic, either. It flows so naturally from her – which is something I’d call highly refreshing in today’s general music scene. Ariel’s got a gift for just about anything she sets her sights on – but especially music – that’s where her heart rests most of the time, I’d say.
- Ariel has a newly released album – Roots: The Americana Album – and recently went on a Radio Tour to sing her songs live to lucky audiences! She has a limited edition of Vinyls for this album, as well. You can purchase one (or more!) here!

- 1:1Soul
- Our last performers of the weekend … and what a fantastic band to lead us into the conclusion for our amazing weekend. As Jason so perfectly described in his introduction, these guys are like if Journey and Rush had a baby LOL Adorned in very fancy vests, Tyler tickled the ole ivories (keyboard whites? LOL) while JT jammed out on guitar – all aspects making for a super-charged, magnetic performance! Tyler pulled out some seriously impressive vocals, as well, that (like with many of the other artists) had people double-taking because they couldn’t believe what they were hearing! LOL Their music style mixed with the insane vocals makes you feel transported back to the 80s, in a way! Their performance created a super fun environment and left a lasting impression on those lucky enough to catch them playing.

All of these artists are worth adding to your algorithms!
What are you waiting for?! Go check them out on the socials: follow, listen, buy some merch, interact, go see them play at their next show (and especially when they play again at the Flea Market!) … show your support! That is what Music City is all about, baby! (Or what it should be about)
As for Rock Oracle’s next Flea Market Concert … we’ll be back at The Fairgrounds in January! Don’t worry – the show will be INSIDE for that month, haha. All you fellow Nashvillians know how cold/crazy January can get, so thank goodness we will have an indoor setup for our show! (Thank you again to our marvelous Flea Market Coordinators, Darrin and Jeff, for getting that set up for us! And for everything else they did to host us and help us make our vision come to life!)

Whether you’re a performing or non-performing artist, you can join us any time next year at The Nashville Flea Market – and we would love to have you come be part of it with us! Fill out the Artist Intake Form (even if you just want more information), and we’ll be in touch 🙂

As for all the performing artists from this past weekend – as well as everyone who helped us set up, showed up to support, and encouraged our vision at any/every stage of the journey – THANK YOU SO MUCH! We are elated to continue our concert series through next year so we can continue pushing our mission – Bringing People Together Through Music. We will see you at the next Flea! And maybe somewhere else even before then … who knows! *wink*
Until next time, you Dazzling, Radiant Luminaries, you! ~
